Cela found herself drawn to the legal courses offered at UCSC, and her curiosity continued to blossom after graduating. In search of a hands-on opportunity to learn more about the law, Cela found Morris Law. A deeply empathetic person, Cela felt instantly connected to the work that the firm was doing.

“It is extremely fulfilling to provide comfort to the people calling into our office everyday. The people we speak to are facing some of the worst moments of their lives. We like to ensure that each and every person who calls into our office feels heard, respected, and supported no matter if they are a current client or a first-time caller.”

Since taking on the role of Legal Assistant at Morris Law, Cela has become a key player in maintaining organization of new potential clients, checking current clients’ status with the District Attorney’s Office, and keeping up with and preparing for the court calendar.

Cela has additionally become a contributor to the firms diversion motion process, aiding the attorneys by drafting motions, examining mitigating documents, communicating with clients, and maintaining deadlines.

Cela feels deep gratitude for her time at Morris Law.
